Monday - el Lounge

MezeTango Lounge opened on Valentine's Day of 2005. Ever since, it has been the only Tango venue in the heart of Adams Morgan, the lively international neighborhood of N.W. Washington DC. Meze Restaurant also contributes to successful tango nights by offering a special menu, that includes Mediterranean tapas, exceptional coffees and superb desserts in a cozy yet modern ambiance.

Classes

7pm class - is focused on the open embrace style for Beg/Int.
8pm class - is focused on the close embrace style for Beg/Int.
9pm class - is for advanced dancers only.

Milonga

The music never stops on Mondays nights, so as soon as the classes are finished we proceed to La Milonga De Los Artistas that starts around 10pm. The lights are dimmed, candles are lit, cabaret tablets are installed, and the dancing continues until 2AM.

Specials

Until the end of the year, we would like to encourage our Beg/Int tango students to dance. That is, if you take the 7pm or 8pm class, you are welcome for FREE to La Milonga De Los Artistas afterwards!

And for the lucky ones with a valid student ID, we propose even something better: Come with a friend who also has a valid student ID, and he or she will join you for FREE.

Practical Info

Parking is difficult on 18th st., so it might be best if you try your luck on Calvert st. or the 17th st..

If you come by metro you should get off at the Woodley Park station on the red line, walk ten minutes East on Calvert across the bridge and then another minute South on 18th st.. Meze is on the East side of the street between Tryst and La Fourchette. All tango classes and milongas are held at the Golden Lounge on the second floor.
